I Was Going to Add Email

I started this weekend planning to fill out a few more things on the Telikin.

That was the plan.

About fifteen hours later, I had built a presidential strategy simulator.

This Got Out of Hand

The laptop already had weather, a calendar, DoorDash, affirmations, quotes, trivia, and a bunch of buttons waiting for something to do.

I was working through those.

Then I got to Games.

That seemed like it deserved something better than another little joke.

So now the button says MAGA: The Art of the Presidency.

You get 48 months. Three actions a month. Nine priorities.

Acquire Greenland. Make Canada the 51st state. Control the Panama Canal. Get Venezuela's oil. End the war in Ukraine. Eliminate the Iranian threat. Eliminate the trade deficit. Set a market record. Win the Nobel Peace Prize.

One of them may be considerably harder than it looks.

Apparently I Make Strategy Games Now

This was supposed to be small.

Then countries needed relationships. Relationships needed memory. Tariffs needed consequences. Wars needed escalation. Congress needed to occasionally ruin your day. Executive orders needed courts. The economy needed to react to things.

Other countries remember what you do.

Markets react.

Congress has opinions.

Your advisors try to help.

Sometimes they are even right.

The C-SPAN part may be my favorite.

You can have an extraordinarily successful presidency.

C-SPAN may still have some notes.

Fifteen Hours

A few weeks ago I said I was going to spend five to ten hours a week on Oval Arcade.

Last week I actually did.

That was nice.

This weekend I spent roughly fifteen hours building a fake presidency inside a fake laptop inside a fake Oval Office.

So the schedule is a suggestion again.

The simulator is in the Telikin now.

I was going to add email.

Maybe next week.
